Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Jabber and Sign In
- Click the Start icon on your computer and search for Jabber in the Search field. Select the Jabber app to open it.
Note: If you don't see the Cisco Jabber app, please follow the instructions found in the Prerequisites.

- Click Sign In and enter your NHA username and password.
Note: Select the Accept button when/if the Verify Certificate screen pops up; continue with your NHA username and password when prompted.


Place a Call
- Enter a contact name or a phone number in the Search or Call field. You can also click the Call/Keypad icon (next to the Search field) to place a call. Once clicked, the keypad will open in the call window below.
Note: Press 8 first for outbound calls. Then enter the 10-digit phone number.
- All calls (incoming, outgoing, and missed) will appear in the call window with the time of call. Hover over the name to view caller information, or to access the return call button.


Accessing Voicemail
- In the Jabber app, select the Voicemail icon to setup and retrieve voicemail.

- Select Call Voicemail to set up your voicemail.

- Select the keypad icon to open and use the keypad and follow the prompts.
You will be prompted to do the following:
- Enter the temporary PIN sent in your welcome email
- Record your name
- Record a personal greeting
- Change your PIN
Wait for confirmation before hanging up.

- To listen to a voicemail, select the voicemail message in your Outlook inbox.

- The message will open. Follow these steps to interact with the message:
- Click the Play, Pause, and Stop icons to control the playback.
- Click the Forward arrow icon to forward the message.
- Click the 3-dot icon to call, mark as unread, or delete the message.
