Sending a Fax with eFax

Overview

NHA uses eFax to send and receive faxes. This guide will provide steps for sending faxes directly from copiers (all staff are able to use this option) or through an email from Outlook (only registrars and office administrators are able to use this option).

Step-by-Step Instructions

Sending a Fax with eFax – Paper Original

  1. Select the Scanner option.
  2. Press the Reset button to ensure that no previous settings remain.  
  3. Place the originals on the scanner and enter the destination email address by entering the fax number followed by @efaxsend.com.

Example: 18001234567@efaxsend.com

  1. Press the Start button.
  2. Once you are finished scanning your originals, press the # button to send the scanned file.

Sending a Fax from Email – ONLY AVAILABLE TO REGISTARS & OAs

  1. Open a new email within Outlook.
  2. Attach any documentation you would like to fax to the email address.
  3. Enter the email address in the To field using the following format:
  • Enter the fax number followed by @efaxsend.com

Example: 18001234567@efaxsend.com

  • The fax number should be a full 11-digit phone number (ex. 16162221701) even if it is a local number.
  1. Click the From button and select your school’s Fax name from the dropdown menu.

Example: CantonPrepfax@nhaschools.com

Note: If you do not see your school’s Fax name when you click on the From button, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the From button in the new email and select Other Email Address.

  1. Click on the From button.

  1. Search for your school’s Fax name and choose it from the list.

Note: School name does not include Charter or Academy.

Example: CantonPrepfax@nhaschools.com

  1. Select OK.
