Overview

This guide describes the process of using an NHA Conference Room to join a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting. Use the Room Controller to join the meeting.

Prerequisites

For the auto-join to work, the meeting must either have been created by an NHA employee, or else the room must be included in the meeting invite, typically by forwarding the invitation to the room.

Tips and Best Practices

If anyone in the room wishes to share content or view shared content on their device, they may join the meeting on their own device using Companion Mode.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. On the room controller, tap your reserved meeting time, then Start.

    1. A Google Meet meeting will connect automatically.

    2. A Microsoft Teams meeting requires another (NHA) party to be in the meeting.
      Once someone joins the meeting with an NHA login, the conference room will finish connecting automatically.
      Because Teams defaults to video disabled, that feature will need to be enabled by tapping the camera icon once the meeting joins.
